Guest tax
The town of Johanngeorgenstadt levies a guest tax to cover the special costs it incurs for the construction, acquisition, expansion and maintenance of the facilities and equipment provided for tourist purposes for the events held for this purpose and for other offers. It is levied irrespective of whether and to what extent the facilities, installations, events and benefits provided are actually used.
The guest tax is € 1.00 per day of stay.
All guests of the town of Johanngeorgenstadt who are subject to the guest tax obligation receive a guest card from the accommodation provider upon registration. On presentation of this guest card, you can take advantage of numerous discounts.
