www.nejdek.czNejdek (German: Neudek) is a town in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic. Nejdek is situated in the Bohemian part of the Ore Mountains in the valley of the Rolava (Rohlau), a left tributary of the Ohře (Eger). To the north of the town rises the ridge of the 974-meter-high Tisovský vrch (Peindlberg), crowned by a tower. The town is situated on the old trade and mountain pass route from Leipzig to Karlovy Vary (Karlsbad), which crossed the border between Oberwildenthal and Jelení (Hirschenstand), but is now used only as a hiking border crossing.
