This bike tour starts at the Johanngeorgenstadt train station and takes you downhill toward Karlovy Vary with views of Plešivec (Plessberg).
Coming from the Johanngeorgenstadt train station, stop at the information board, then continue through Potůčky (Breitenbach), keeping to the right toward Horní Blatná (Bergstadt Platten). Passing the Neo-Gothic church from 1872 and the former "Dreckschänke," you’ll reach Horní Blatná via "Ochsendorf."A 16th-century
church with a shingle roof and good guesthouses on the market square await you. Passing the access road to Blatenský vrch (Plattenberg) at 1,043 m, you continue cycling on Road No. 2198 toward Pernink (Bärringen).
With a view of the 1,028-meter-high Plešivec (Plessberg), you continue cycling on Road No. 2003, but then head downhill through Pstruží and Merklína (Salmtal) on the road to Merklín and Karlovy Vary (Merkelsgrün). Along the Bystřice (Wystritz) and back on Road No. 2198, the route leads to Hroznětín (Lichtenstadt). Turn right in front of the Church of St. Peter and Paul (1734); you may want to make a quick stop at the nearby lake (Velký rybník) before continuing on to Podlesí (Widitzhof), an old sheep farm, and then to Otovice near Broumov (Ottowitz). From Otovice u Broumova, take the short route via Sedlec (Zettlitz) to Karlovy Vary.
