Walk uphill along Eibenstocker Straße for 1 km and turn right at Grauer Mann. There the path continues as a meadow path. Once you reach the edge of the forest, it is only a short distance to the ski hut, a former base of the mountain rescue service. A quiet path winds its way down for approx. 1 km to the Kanzelstein crossroads. Follow the signposts to the Kellerschleiferei. Here you turn left towards Johanngeorgenstadt and follow the path up the stream. Pass the Teufelssteinen and you will reach the Steinbach district. The path joins Eibenstocker Straße here, which you follow back towards the town center to reach the starting point of the hike.
