Kammloipe Erzgebirge/Vogtland

The Kammloipe, which runs along the mountain ridge from Johanngeorgenstadt in the Ore Mountains to Schöneck in the Vogtland region, is one of the most beautiful and snow-reliable cross-country trails in Germany and has been awarded the designation "Excellent Trail." Located in the heart of the Erzgebirge/Vogtland Nature Park, it offers ideal conditions along its 36-kilometer length and is also suitable for novice cross-country skiers. With its 18 designated connecting trails featuring ideal entry points and local trails (approx. 90 km), it forms a ski region of particular charm. In addition to excellent trails, appropriate signage and consistently cleared parking lots at the trailheads ensure optimal skiing enjoyment.

The Erzgebirge/Vogtland Ridge Trail, including its connecting trails, is funded by the "Arbeitsgemeinschaft Kammloipe Erzgebirge/Vogtland e.V.". In addition to public subsidies from the respective municipalities, the trail’s long-term viability depends solely on support from its users.
