The WEISSE RING is looking for reinforcement throughout the Erzgebirgskreis

Logo of WEISSEN RING e.V.

WEISSE RING e. V., Germany's largest victim support organization, is looking for committed citizens to volunteer in the Erzgebirgskreis.

People who can imagine supporting victims after a crime are being sought throughout the district.

Anyone who has been harmed by a crime often needs more than just legal help - they need someone to talk to. People who listen, provide guidance and empathize without judging. This is exactly where the work of the WEISSER RING comes in.

As a volunteer, you are the first point of contact for victims after a crime has been committed. You listen, help them make sense of the situation, and point them toward possible sources of further assistance. We see ourselves as guides through the support system: we provide direction, establish connections, and help them take the first step toward recovery.

As a rule, these are one-off contacts, as the aim is to provide initial guidance rather than long-term advice. On average, there is about one new case per week.

Our way of working

  • The meetings take place exclusively in public buildings.
  • Our volunteers always work in pairs.
  • They receive intensive training from WEISSER RING and undergo regular continuing education.
  • Protecting the privacy of both those seeking help and those providing it is a top priority in all matters.
  • Referrals are made via the central office or the respective branch office management.
